Linoy Galmidi
Die in 2001 in Israel geborene Sopranistin Linoy Galmidi begann im Alter von 9 Jahren mit dem Studium der Stimmentwicklung. Sie hat einen Bachelor-Abschluss Oper von der Buchman Mehta School of Music der Universität Tel Aviv in der Klasse von Prof. Anat Efrati. Danach studierte sie ein Jahr lang bei Mrs. Yael Levita. Derzeit studiert sie im Masterstudiengang Oper an der Hochschule für Musik und Theater „Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy“ in Leipzig in der Klasse von Prof. Caroline Stein.
Im Laufe der Jahre hat sie an zahlreichen Kursen und Meisterkursen teilgenommen, darunter „Mishkenot Sha'anim“ für herausragende junge Opernsänger (2017–2019), „Opera Pro“-Sommerkurs (2018), „Vox Artist“ in Österreich (2021), das Internationale Sommeropernprogramm in Tel Aviv (2022, 2023), die „Berliner Opernakademie“, in der sie an der Produktion von Suor Angelica von Puccini teilnahm (2022), sowie „Lyric Opera Studio Weimar“, wo sie die Rolle der Königin der Nacht in Mozarts Oper Die Zauberflöte sang (2023). Sie nahm außerdem am einwöchigen „Opernstudio Leipzig“ teil, das Meisterkurse, ein Agentenvorsprechen und ein Abschlusskonzert umfasste.
Im Rahmen ihres Bachelor-Studiums nahm sie an zahlreichen Meisterkursen und Konzerten der Buchman Mehta School of Music teil und sang die Rolle der Serpetta in der Produktion von Mozarts Oper La finta giardiniera (2023). Im Jahr 2025 sang sie die Rolle des Lepido in der HMT-Produktion von Händels Oper Lucio Cornelio Silla.
In Israel gewann sie den dritten und ersten Platz beim Paul-Ben-Haim-Wettbewerb (2020, 2023) sowie den ersten Platz beim Buchman-Mehta-Wettbewerb in der Kategorie Gesang (2023).
Sie ist Stipendiatin der America-Israel Cultural Foundation der Jahre 2018 und 2020 und Preisträgerin folgender internationaler Wettbewerbe: CS-Gesangswettbewerb, King's Peak International Music Competition, World Art Games, Medici-Wettbewerb, London-Wettbewerb, Mozart-Wettbewerb Wien, Euterpe-Musikpreis, BTHVN-Wien-Wettbewerb.
Born in Israel in 2001, soprano Linoy Galmidi began studying voice development at the age of 9. She holds a bachelor’s degree in opera from the Buchman Mehta School of Music at Tel Aviv University, where she studied under Prof. Anat Efrati. After completing her bachelor’s degree, she studied for one year with Mrs. Yael Levita. She is currently pursuing her master's degree in opera at the University of Music and Theatre "Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy" in Leipzig, Germany, under the guidance of Prof. Caroline Stein.
Over the years, she has participated in many courses and masterclasses, including "Mishkenot Sha'anim" for outstanding young opera singers (2017–2019), the "Opera Pro" summer course (2018), "Vox Artist" in Austria (2021), the Tel Aviv International Summer Opera Program (2022, 2023), and the "Berlin Opera Academy," where she took part in the production of Puccini's Suor Angelica (2022). In 2023, she performed the role of Queen of the Night in Mozart’s Die Zauberflöte at the Lyric Opera Studio Weimar. She also attended the "Opera Studio Leipzig," a one-week course including masterclasses, an agent audition, and a final concert.
During her bachelor’s program, she took part in many masterclasses and concerts at the Buchman Mehta School of Music and performed the role of Serpetta in Mozart’s La finta giardiniera (2023). In 2025, she performed the role of Lepido in the HMT production of Handel’s opera Lucio Cornelio Silla.
Linoy has participated in numerous competitions in Israel and abroad. She won third and first prize at the Paul Ben Haim Competition (2020, 2023), and first prize in the singing category at the Buchman Mehta Competition (2023).
She is a recipient of America-Israel Cultural Foundation scholarships for the years 2018 and 2020. She is also a prize winner in various international competitions, including the CS Vocal Competition, King’s Peak International Music Competition, World Art Games, Medici Competition, London Competition, Mozart Competition Vienna, Euterpe Music Award, and BTHVN Wien Competition.
