Yoojin Lee
Die Sopranistin Yoojin Lee wurde in Icheon geboren. Ab 2018 studierte sie im Bachelor an der „Seoul national Universität“. 2022 schloss sie das Bachelorstudium erfolgreich ab.
Seit Wintersemester 2023/24 studiert sie in der Klasse von Frau Prof. Caroline Stein im Master klassischer Gesang an der Hochschule für Musik und Theater „Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy“ Leipzig.
Yoojin Lee ist Preisträgerin verschiedener Wettbewerbe. Mit 17 Jahren gewann sie u.a. den 3. Preis im „La bella Gesangwettbewerb & Internationaler Opernwettbewerb in Linz im Fach junge Künstler“. Im Alter von 21 gewann sie in Südkorea den 1. Preis im „Sungjung Musik Wettbewerb“, den 3. Preis im „Dong-a Musik Wettbewerb. In 2024 gewann sie beim Wettbewerb „NUITS LYRIQUES DE MARMANDE“ (Marmande International Singing Competition) in Frankreich den „PRIX SPECIAL DU JURY Michèle HERBÉ“ (Sonderpreis der Jury Michèle HERBÉ). Außerdem war sie Finalistin beim „International Vocal Competition“ (IVC) in ’s-Hertogenbosch, Niederlande.
Im Jahr 2025 sang sie bei einem Operettengalakonzert der Musikalischen Komödie Leipzig die Rollen der Rosalinde in Die Fledermaus und der Josepha in Im weißen Rössl. Ebenfalls 2025 übernahm sie an der HMT Leipzig die Rolle des Lepido in G.F.Händels Oper Lucio Cornelio Silla.
Bereits 2024 war sie als Frau Fluth in O.Nicolais Die lustigen Weiber von Windsor in einer Opernproduktion der HMT Leipzig mit Orchester zu erleben.
Ab der Spielzeit 2025/26 ist sie als Sopranistin Mitglied des Opernstudios am Staatstheater am Gärtnerplatz.

The soprano Yoojin Lee was born in Icheon, South Korea.
In 2018, she began a Bachelor of „Seoul national University“. Sie completed her Bachelor in 2022.
She has been studying in the class of Prof. Caroline Stein in the Master of Classical Singing at the Leipzig University of Music and Theater „Felix Mendelssohn Bartholy“ since the winter semester 2023/24.
Yoojin Lee is a prizewinner in various competitions. She won 3rd prize in the „La bella Gesangwettbewerb & Internationaler Opernwettbewerb in Linz im Fach junge Künstler“ , when sie was 17. And 1st Prize in the „Sungjung Music competition“, 3rd Prize in the „Dong-a music competition“ , when she was 21 in South Korea. In 2024, she won the ‘PRIX SPECIAL DU JURY Michèle HERBÉ’ (Special Jury Prize Michèle HERBÉ) at the ‘NUITS LYRIQUES DE MARMANDE’ (Marmande International Singing Competition) in France. Additionally, she was a finalist at the ‘International Vocal Competition’ (IVC) in ’s-Hertogenbosch, Netherlands.
In 2025, she performed in an operetta gala concert at Musikalische Komödie Leipzig, singing the roles of Rosalinde in Die Fledermaus and Josepha in Im weißen Rössl. That same year, she appeared as Lepido in Handel’s Lucio Cornelio Silla at the University of Music and Theatre Leipzig.
In 2024, she sang the role of Frau Fluth in Nicolai’s Die lustigen Weiber von Windsor in a fully staged production with orchestra at HMT Leipzig.
She joins the opera studio at the Staatstheater am Gärtnerplatz as a soprano in the 2025/26 season.
